- Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) — reliable in the village, gone at the glacier and on the Gergeti trail.
- Svaneti and Tusheti — Mestia has signal; beyond it, gorges can leave you without one for hours. Download maps and routes in advance.
How much to take
Georgia is a country people drive around: routes, a translator, hunting for guesthouses along the way. That eats noticeably more data than a beach holiday.

Why keeping your home number matters
Our plans are data only, which is more convenient than it sounds. Your home SIM stays in the phone as a second line: bank codes, work calls and login confirmations arrive as usual. The only thing that changes is where your internet comes from — and internet is the expensive part of roaming.
