How to install an eSIM on iPhone and Android
A step-by-step walkthrough: scanning the QR code, choosing the data line, turning on roaming and checking that everything works before you leave home.
Installing an eSIM takes about a minute, and nearly all of it is waiting for the phone to download the profile. Placeholder copy for template testing.
Before you start

- A phone that supports eSIM and is not carrier-locked
- Wi-Fi, because the profile downloads over the internet
- The QR code or the activation details from the order page
Installing on iPhone
Open Settings, go to Cellular, then Add eSIM, and scan the code. Placeholder paragraph describing what appears on screen and which label to give the new line.
Naming the line
Give the travel line a name you will recognise later. Placeholder subsection; this matters once there are three or four profiles on the phone.
Installing on Android
The wording differs between manufacturers, but the path is always some variation of Settings, Network, then add a SIM. Placeholder paragraph about Samsung and Pixel differences.
Keep the QR code. Most profiles can only be installed once, and a screenshot saves a support ticket.
Checking it works
Turn data roaming on for the travel line, leave your home line for calls, and watch for the network name to appear after landing.
